THOUGHTFULLY SOURCED
BEANS, WE SELECT EACH OF OUR INGREDIENTS VERY CAREFULLY.
One of our favorite ingredients is grown right here on the West Coast. In fact, the whole world depends on California for the best almonds.
Over the years, we’ve developed close relationships with our almond growers, and the best of the best are located in the Sacramento and San Joaquin areas.
In the next century, growers caught on and planted trees inland where they flourished. Almond trees now grow on over 450,000 acres stretching more than 400 miles—and rank as the seventh largest U.S. food export.
According to the American Cranberry Growers Association, cranberries grow on low-lying vines in sandy marshes called bogs.
Come harvest time, the bogs are flooded with 15-18 inches of water. Water reels are used to churn the water, separating the cranberries from their vines. Since cranberries float, they bob to the surface where they’re collected for Sahale Snacks® Mixes.
We searched for a long time to find the perfect vanilla bean, and it was destiny when we finally discovered a little known vanilla bean from Madagascar. The minute we tasted it, we knew it would be an extraordinary ingredient for Sahale Snacks® Nut Blends.
Pro tip: Try swapping out your standard vanilla extract for pure Madagascar vanilla powder. You can really taste the difference.
Our Pomegranate Flavored Pistachios Glazed Mix and Valdosta Pecans Glazed Mix add a touch of black pepper for a daring combination.
It’s a really terrific, premium black pepper: super aromatic, with just enough heat to grab your attention. We even support the PeaceTrees Black Pepper Farming Project, which teaches families in Cheng Village to plant, grow and harvest pepper plants.
